Oh Hot Dame! SPD Elgin Bar Crawl! We will be skating in the St. Charles SPD parade in the late afternoon and then crawlin' in Elgin until we turn green! Funraising Festivities include Derby girls, shot specials, raffles, and tons of prizes! Come support Elgin's nightlife and your local roller derby girls! All proceeds will go towards our 2014 training clinics. We will start our shenanigans at The Nut @ 5pm. We will be updating the schedule including food and drink specials throughout the week. The Dames will be skating in the St. Patricks day parade in St. Charles! The parade steps off at 2pm on Main St/Rte 64. Get into the Irish spirit and join us Downtown St. Charles!

Are you dreaming of being a Dame? Now is your chance! We are so excited to invite you to a recruitment night we have scheduled on Monday April 14th, 2014 at 7 pm at Coachlite Skate Center at 1291 Bryn Mawr Roselle, IL 60172. You are invited to watch the Dames during their regularly scheduled practice and scrimmage to see what Roller Derby is all about. Attendance is recommended but not required.

Tryouts/Boot Camp will begin April 28th, 2014 and run for two weeks through May 7, 2014. Tryouts/Boot Camp will be during the Dames regular practice times: Monday nights from 7-10 pm and Wednesday nights from 8:15-10:15 pm. Participation in the boot camp will require full roller derby gear, including a multi-hit helmet, mouth guard, wrist guards, elbow pads, and knee pads. Quad skates can be rented from Coachlite, or you can bring your own. We will have very limited loaner gear available while you get situated but purchasing your own gear is highly recommended. You will be filling out some mandatory paperwork and waivers to participate in the program, so please bring a photo ID (you must be over 18) and your insurance card if you have one.

Qualifying participants from Tryouts/Boot Camp will then be invited to participate in the 12 week Fresh Meat program starting May 12, 20134
